Liebherr’s new 55.4tonne R 956 crawler excavator fitted with the firm’s own six-cylinder diesel engine with common rail fuel injection replaces the previous R 954 model.

The PR 736 dozer being introduced to the US market at Conexpo 2014 is the first model in Liebherr’s new Generation 6 series and is said to offer customers increased efficiency and lower fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. WS Tyler says it has added mobility to the list of benefits of its Hydro-Clean washing system. KOBELCO Construction Machinery USA is raising its profile in the US with the introduction of the improved excavator range at Conexpo. JCB is now fitting its new Tier 4 JCB Ecomax diesel engine to its latest rough terrain forklift range. The engine delivers the same 55kW output as the previous Dieselmax motor, but meets the Tier 4 emissions regulations without the need for a diesel particulate filter or an SCR exhaust after-treatment system. This reduces running costs for customers and the Ecomax engine is being fitted to all four models in JCB’s RTFL range: the 926, 930, 940 and 950.

Montabert has designed its novel Micro CPA drilling attachment for use with a number of utility machines such as backhoe loaders, compact excavators, and skid-steer loaders. The firm offers the H22 and H25 variants, which are single-pass drills with a feed rotation of 45° from vertical. They can be used to drill holes with diameters from 25.4mm-44.45mm and 31.75mm-76.2mm respectively, with maximum hole lengths of 6.1m and 9.1m. Hatz is celebrating the American introduction of its water-cooled multi-cylinder 4H50TIC turbo engine at Conexpo 2014.
