Lambson’s lighting the way with new equipment

The South African equipment rental firm Lambson’s Hire has boosted its fleet with the addition of new lighting equipment. The company has added eight Trime X-ECO LED lighting towers to its equipment rental fleet. The units were supplied by Mayday Equipment, the official South Africa distributor for Trime. Each method has its limitations along with safety concerns. These include the use of jet fuel, noise, melting pavement, danger from thrown rocks or other objects – not mention slow results. Kaliningrad Russian enclave revamping roads

Russia’s Kaliningrad enclave has set a budget of over US$180 million for road development during the 2019-2021 period. This will be used for maintaining and improving existing roads, as well as developing new links. Regional and municipal roads will benefit from the spending programme. Although Kaliningrad is itself Russian territory, it lies in between Poland and Lithuania and is separated from the rest of Russia.

Extensive road repairs are required in California’s Bay Area, according to a new report. Released by TRIP, the report reveals that the Bay Area is suffering from poor road conditions. It says that up to 71% of the roads in the San Francisco-Oakland area are dilapidated. Meanwhile 64% of the roads in the San Jose area are also in poor condition. More road repairs are required in Costa Rica to improve the national network. A new report from Costa Rica’s Treasury Inspector's Office (CGR) criticises the country’s national road authority, Consejo Nacional de Vialidad (Conavi), for carrying out inadequate road maintenance and conservation works. According to CGR, road maintenance works carried out by Conavi scored just 64%. On a more positive note, the report said that around 77% of Costa Rica’s roads are 'in good functional and structural' condition.
