Doosan has launched the largest excavator model ever manufactured by the company, the DX1000LC-7 Stage V compliant 100tonne crawler model.

Doosan Infracore is offering its DX380DM-7, the third model in the firm’s high reach demolition excavator range. The machine joins the existing DX235DM and DX530DM models launched last year.

The addition of a Doosan DX300LC-5 excavator to an existing quarry operation has helped boost production by 20-30%. The new machine is now working at the Mítov quarry in the Czech Republic.

Doosan is introducing a high-performance, heavyweight crawler excavator in the shape of the DX800LC-5B. This machine is aimed at the 80tonne crawler excavator class in emergent territories and is said to offer optimum value to the end-user. Advantages are said to include high productivity and fuel efficiency, as well as operator comfort, improved reliability and durability and maximum uptime. It is designed to meet the needs of heavy-duty quarrying applications as well as major infrastructure construction projects.

Doosan CE is launching the new DA30-7 and DA45-7 Stage V compliant ADTs, replacing the previous DA30-5 and DA40-5 Stage IV models respectively. The DA30-7 has a payload of 28tonnes, while the DA45-7 has a 41tonne payload.

Great Tew Ironstone Quarry in North Oxfordshire in the UK has purchased a new top-of-the-range Doosan DL580-5 wheeled loader to increase production. The DL580-5 carries huge 14-16tonne blocks of Ironstone from the quarry face to a new €1.2 million stone processing plant that recently began production at the top of the quarry. Great Tew Ironstone has a striking brown and blue vein and is only available from this Oxfordshire quarry. A quarried block is often up to 30tonnes. “The new DL580-5 helps
