Vögele says that its SUPER 800-3i is compact and versatile, offering a range of pave widths extends from 0.5-3.5m. The machine can operate in confined spaces such as in towns and cities and suits duties with local authority contractors. Of note is that it has an AB 220 TV screed, a tamper vibrating model that is unusual in this compact asphalt paving class as competing models tend to feature vibration only.

Deutz, the German motor manufacturer, reported first quarter 2015 new orders down 22.5%, but profit rose slightly on the same period last year. A Deutz statement said new orders received for the first three months totalled €321 million, down from €414.2 million last year.

Engine manufacturer Deutz says that all of its Stage IV engines are ready for the proposed Stage V emissions legislation that will come into force in 2019/2020. Using Deutz Variable Emissions Technology (DVERT), the company says that it can combine or make dedicated emissions solutions for every market in which its engines are sold.

Vögele says that its Super 800-3i asphalt paver is more sophisticated than previous machines in this size class. This new model replaces the firm’s earlier version and according to marketing manager Roland Schug said, “Now we have it with -3 technology.” With the screed retracted the machine is just 1.4m wide and with a low height of 2m it can be used in a parking area or underground parking lot. Hamm says its new GRW180i compactor broadens its range of rubber-tyred rollers. Power comes from a four cylinder, 3.6litre TD3.6 L4, Deutz engine rated at 55.4kW and which meets the Tier 4 Final/Stage IV emissions requirements. It is so new that only the prototype was available at the beginning of this year, but the company is proud of its all-electric version of its best-selling 350MH. Atlas claims the electric version will have around 25% less operating cost than a traditional excavator. Two new high capacity dumpers and launch big rough terrain forklift are being launched by Ausa. The Barcelona-based manufacturer is showing off its D 600 APG and D 1000 APG dumpers with loading capacities ranging from 6-10tonnes respectively, alongside the new C 500 H 4WD rough terrain forklift capable of carrying 5 tonnes to a lift height of 5.45m. DEUTZ says that in the 2.9-7.8 litre range, its diesel engines already meet the forthcoming Stage V mobile machinery emissions standard which is expected to apply to Europe from January 2019. The Cologne, Germany-based engine manufacturer will make the announcement as its showcases its current product range for exhaust emissions standard IV.

DEUTZ is exhibiting new products at Bauma China 2014, being launched together with its Chinese joint venture DEUTZ (Dalian) Engine (DDE).
