SDMO Industries describes its new R1650C power generator as the “marriage of power and compactness in a single machine”. The new model in the French company’s Rental Power range, the R1650C brings together back-up power of 1,650kVA (1,200kW), and the compactness of a 6.09m container.

SDMO Industries is hoping its expanded line of rental compact power generators, being unveiled at INTERMAT 2012, will bring commercial success. The R275C3 and R330C3 Rental Compact models will come onto the market after the show, with the R450C3 and R550C3 available from June 2012. It will allow SDMO to offer Rental Compact machines from R16C3 up to R550C3.

A-Plant, one of the UK’s largest plant and equipment hire companies, has placed orders for a fleet of 20kVA Rental Compact generators and 6.0kVA sets from SDMO Energy, the UK arm of French generator manufacturing giant SDMO Industries. Generator manufacturer SDMO says that its new 102mm water pump and 3kW generator offer high performance and portability. Both are powered by Kohler engines, with the 5.2kW Command CH270 petrol engine in the PERFORM 3000 generator and a 5kW KD350 diesel engine in the TRASH 4 pump. The PERFORM 3000 features a solid and compact frame with a 4.1litre fuel tank that allows 3.2 hours continuous use. Power output for the 43kg unit is 3.75kVA through 110V and 240V 16A sockets.
