Komatsu is widening its range of hybrid excavators with the addition of a new 36t0nne class machine. The new model retains technology from its proven 21tonne class hybrid excavator but offers greater productivity and performance. As with the existing HB215 hybrid machine from Komatsu, the new model is also said to offer considerable savings in fuel consumption. Although the hybrid models are more expensive than standard machines, the firm says that the fuel savings allow a steady payback time for customers.

BOMAG is now offering an improved single drum roller line-up, with weights ranging from 11-26tonnes. The 12tonne model is a new weight category for the firm also, sharing features with other machines in the range such as Tier 4 Final/Stage IV compliant diesels, low working noise and high output.

Pilosio’s new flying table ST80 is ideal for high construction work where pouring cycles repeat from one level to another. Flying forms are constituted by large sections of formwork, featuring supporting trusses, joists and aluminum posts. BKT is increasing its presence in the heavy mining business and in the port handling sector. Large rigid truck tyres include the SR45 Plus, a 27.00R49 steel radial in an E4 earthmoving pattern. The tyre incorporates a self-cleaning tread pattern that is said to minimise noise and vibration in operation. This novel piece of equipment uses similar technology to the Energya truck mixers that also feature hybrid systems, helping reduce emissions and fuel consumption.
