Cummins reveals range of Ecofit tanks for diesel exhaust fluid

Cummins Emissions Solutions, a division of Cummins, used Conexpo to introduce a range of EcoFit urea tanks and lines for those adopting SCR after-treatment systems. EcoFit includes four tank capacities – 19, 38, 57 and 114litres – including two different shape profiles for additional installation flexibility. The portfolio also includes electrically heated pressure, suction and throttle line lengths from 500mm to 3m.

196 Cummins Emissions Solutions, a division of Cummins, used Conexpo to introduce a range of EcoFit urea tanks and lines for those adopting SCR after-treatment systems.

EcoFit includes four tank capacities – 19, 38, 57 and 114litres – including two different shape profiles for additional installation flexibility. The portfolio also includes electrically heated pressure, suction and throttle line lengths from 500mm to 3m.

A key component is the urea quality sensor – it detects and monitors the correct urea liquid composition, enabling an SCR system to function at peak performance.

The EcoFit range from Cummins Emissions Solutions offers customers the added convenience and integration benefits of a fully packaged after-treatment system.

    Cummins used bauma to reveal the QSF3.8 – a four-cylinder engine platform delivering a power range of 63-89kW – which is ready to meet Stage IV/Tier 4 Final emissions regulations. Using only SCR for its exhaust after-treatment process, the QSF3.8 avoids the need for either DOC or DPF as a result of using a high-efficiency catalyst to convert oxides of nitrogen at lower exhaust temperatures while requiring only low doses of DEF, said the company.

    The Cummins Engine stand this year’s Bauma will be dominated by one of the largest engines at the show, alongside one of the smallest. The firm will show a 37kW (49hp) 2.8-litre QSF2.8 alongside its giant QSK95, which delivers 3,130kW (4,200hp). These two engine highlight extensions to both ends of the Cummins offering, one of the broadest in the industry that is capable of meeting the coming Stage IV/Tier 4 Final emissions legislation.
