Work on a key road project in Belarus is being financed by Chinese sources. An agreement between the Belarus Government and China's Exim Bank has been made over the Zhlobin-Gomel road. Under the terms of the agreement, the Exim Bank will provide a package loans worth some US$1.06 billion that will be used to fund improvements and upgrades to the road that will increase capacity and safety standards.
