A US$1.25 billion Pakistan highway project to provide economic boost.

Construction of Pakistan’s Peshawar-Dera Ismail Khan Motorway has an estimated pricetag close to US$1.25 billion. This project will be worth its investment however according to the local authorities, providing an important economic boost to the province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).
The route will extend 365km and the plans include 19 interchanges, six lanes and two tunnel sections. The Peshawar-Dera Ismail Khan Motorway will connect seven districts. Along with the Khyber Pass Economic Corridor Project (KPEC), this motorway will deliver transport gains and connectivity.
Land appropriation is due to commence in Peshawar and Dera Ismail Khan.
