The iRAP Innovation Workshop will be held on 20 May during Transport Research Arena (TRA) in Budapest. TRA is Europe’s biggest transport conference attracting over 3,000 participants and 100 exhibitors from across the world drawn from industry, government, transport operators, financing institutions, academia and civil society. With the theme “ReGeneration in Transport”, TRA2026 will be held from 18-21 May and explore challenges facing the global transport sector, showcase new solutions and business models, and discuss latest research and developments in mobility and transport.
Innovation and collaboration will be key to promoting safe, inclusive, green and efficient transportation systems in the UN Decade of Sustainable Transport 2026-2035. Momentum must also continue to drive progress in the Decade of Action for Road Safety 2021-2030 which aims to halve global road deaths and injuries by 2030. Working together with global leaders who are pioneering the future of transport and mobility, iRAP is driving evidence-based technologies, policies, programmes and investment for a world free of high-risk roads.

AI-powered solutions like AiRAP are revolutionising road assessment, risk mapping, and predictive analytics for smarter, data-driven decisions, performance tracking, and asset management on scale. Harmonised safety prediction tools are ensuring gender, age and abilities are provided for in future mobility, while living labs are testing next-gen mobility solutions in real-time for climate-neutral cities. By integrating and dashboarding diverse datasets, raw data is being transformed into powerful, actionable intelligence. And empowering the global community, capacity is being built in countries thanks to innovative programmes which are unlocking new pathways for co-creation and cross-border engagement.
