A new dual carriageway project will boost capacity and cut congestion and delays for drivers on the north side of Kenya’s bustling capital Nairobi. The 23.5km road linking Muthaiga-Kiambu-Ndumberi is being upgraded to a dual carriageway.
Approval for the project has been awarded by the Kenyan Government. Access roads and interchanges will be included in the project. Provision for pedestrians and cyclists will also be included. The work will address congestion that peaks during the rush hour on the north side of Nairobi.
